Abstract :

Background:
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic,Complex, heterogenous disorder characterized b Widespread pain,
difficulty sleeping, physical exhaustion, and cognitive problems.The disease has an impact on the affected persons,their families, and society .Fibromyalgia is a relatively common disorder that occurs
in all populations all Over the world

Objective :
1 .To determine the level of awarenessOf evidence-based management, and to identify knowledge gaps.
2. To assess physicians’ knowledge regarding the definition, etiology, and epidemiology of
fibromyalgia.
3. To evaluate their understanding of the clinical features, diagnostic criteria, and current diagnostic
approaches.

Method
A cross-sectionalSelf-administered structured questionnaireThe survey instrument is structured into
two distinct sections. The initial section captures sociodemographicdata The subsequent section evaluates the physicians' clinical knowledge regarding awareness of fibromyalgia (FM)The Sample
inclusion criteria including doctors employed as either Resident, permanent, practitioner, consultants, and specialists; both male and female doctors focuses on foundational pathophysiology,
epidemiological prevalence, symptomatic presentation, and current diagnostic criteria.

Result
A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed, with 260 responses received (86.6% response rate).
After exclusions, 248 participants were analyzed. The sample was predominantly female (57.2%) and
mainly aged 25–34 years. Most participants demonstrated high awareness of fibromyalgia, with
undergraduate education as the main information source. Participants showed good knowledge of core symptoms and diagnosis, though gaps were noted in epidemiology and pathophysiology.
Management knowledge was generally strong, particularly regarding exercise, patient education, and pharmacological options. Overall, the majority of participants had a moderate level of knowledge, followed by good knowledge, with few exhibiting poor or excellent levels of

Conclusion
The current study evaluated the awareness and knowledge of healthcare providers in Iraq regarding fibromyalgia, including its clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management. The findings
demonstrated a predominantly moderate level of knowledge with satisfactory awareness of core
symptoms, diagnostic concepts, and main management strategies.
